IDIOTS OF THE DAY : EVERYONE AT THE VMAS (APART FROM TYLER THE CREATOR)
This might seem strange but i really couldn't care less. After watching the VMA'S last night i thought that everyone in the building were extremely awkward with a capital A, apart from Tyler the creator. A lot of people are apparently upset about him winning the award, in my opinion i think the music industry needs someone like him to jazz it the hell up, otherwise it will continue to be an industry that evolves around artists who just sit around and act important all day. CHEER THE HELL UP people ! Did anyone else here the awkward silence during Kevin Harts hilarious speech? all i was thinking was these people are extremely LAME and then to top it off was the ridiculous shots of different artists standing for their friends and then sitting down when people they didn't like were performing , is this high school?... get up, dance, and have a good time, GEESE. I wish these people would get off their own high horses and come down to earth, maybe next time it wont be as lame.

(yeah this story is kind of bland...but HEY :D, theres nothing else to talk about)

IDIOTS OF THE DAY : AMERICANS COMPARING THE KARDASHIANS TO THE ROYAL FAMILY
Now this is going to be a quick post because i am really tired of hearing this comment. Americans really need to stop comparing the Kardashians to the Royal family. I don't think that they are actually aware of who the royal family is, the family owned most of the world at some stage in time. The Kardashians are just reality TV stars. The royal wedding was a great platform for money to be raised for various charities, were as the Kardashians simply profit from this wedding. The wedding is a joke and the fact that people actually buy into it is even funnier. Don't get me wrong they probably work hard and everything but just don't compare them to the royal family ..PLEASE! and if you know someone who even utters royal with the Kardashian name, give them a history book.
And if this is Americas version of a royal family then .......i don't even know what to say. Wow?
NEWS : WAS LIL WAYNE ATTACKED WITH PEPPER SPRAY!?!
According to TMZ and other various sources YES!, he was. Here is the article from Antimusic.com ..
(TMZ) Lil Wayne was attacked with pepper spray Wednesday night in Canada, after some jerk snuck into his after party and put the excruciating substance in the air ducts.
It all went down last night at a club in Montreal called La Mouche -- where Weezy was hosting the afterparty for his show. We're told some jackass snuck into the back room and unleashed the chemical into the ventilation system -- and everyone had to be evacuated, including Weezy.
So far, it's unclear if police are investigating -- but a rep for Lil Wayne says the rapper is "okay and gearing for his next stop in Toronto."
I think that the rapper needs to stop buying million dollar watches and purchase himself a better security team, to prevent these situations from happening in the future. We hope he is ok , the person that did this to him obviously had A LOT of time on their hands.

IDIOT OF THE DAY : LIAM GALLAGHER
Now just before we start to go in on Liam Gallagher, i would just like to say that we are fans of the singer but this situation is completely ridiculous so he just had to be named the IDIOT OF THE DAY.
Liam is suing his brother Noel Gallagher because Noel claimed that when Oasis were still a band they were forced to cancel their headlining performance for the V festival in 2009 because Liam was hungover. In a statement with The Sun newspaper, Liam states :
"I have taken legal action against Noel Gallagher for statements he made claiming Oasis pulled out of the 2009 V Festival Chelmsford gig because I had a hangover. That is a lie and I want Oasis fans and others who were at V to know the truth." He then goes on to detail his reasons for the suit and says his brother's comments have gone "way beyond rock'n'roll banter" and "have questioned his professionalism". He ends the statement by saying he "only wants an apology".
I think that this situation is extremely petty. We understand that he wants the truth to come out but instead of being overly dramatic, he could of just emailed Noel and asked for an apology instead of getting lawyers involved. Not only did he release a statement to THE SUN but he then goes onto say this is way beyond rock and roll banter....is he ok? mentally?. This seems like Rock and Roll banter to me, and a desperate attempt to be in the tabloids again. I think the funniest element of his statement was when he brought up the whole 'professionalism' issue, as far as i know, i have never considered either of the brothers as professionals at anything, apart from being professionals of douchey bitching about other musicians and of each-other. In order to be PROFESSIONALS you need to actually be mature and if they were mature in the first place this would of never of happened and Oasis would still be a band.
NEWS :IS BLAKE FIELDER-CIVIL RELEASING A TELL ALL BOOK ABOUT AMY WINEHOUSE?!?!
Yep, the dumb-ass is. Blake, who is famously known for introducing drugs into Amy Winehous's life, apparently used to film the singer 'before she was famous' and 'there are a lot of photographs and videos that haven't been released'. My question is, so what? it does not mean that he needs to put them out into the public, this is just another greed hungry, fame-whore, sadly profiting off of someones death. It is really sad to think that he would want to do this, but hey, i guess he needs the cash.
IDIOTS OF THE DAY: RACIST BRITS
I am not generalizing the whole of Britain because i know that there are people with brains out there. However, after reading a variety of comments on YouTube, Facebook and The Daily Mail, it seems as though a lot of people in Britain, are suffering with visual disabilities. They fail to accept that their own people are partaking in violence and riots, so they use other races as scapegoats (typical). I was generally angry yesterday by the things that i read, i was thinking: Are these the people that my grandfather really fought for in the war?, why did he even bother?, these people do not even like black people. A lot of people are making comments that make no logical sense 'Blame Hip-hop', a lot of people listen to Hip-hop and i am sure that they aren't outside looting and committing crimes. Why can't we blame The Clash for creating songs like 'White riot'? I also saw comments saying, 'These people are not British, they are imported', Let me show you some pictures that dismiss that.
Is he black? |
Is he black? |
They look pretty 'British' to me. |
I think i rest my case, i am just over these people now, but as i said i know its only a small amount of people. I have a lot of friends that are embarrassed by some of the comments we have seen. The more we fail to accept responsibilities, the more problems this country will see. Lets see some of the things that 'Imported' people actually did to help protect their communities shall we.
And whoever beat this man up, your time is soon near the end, karma is evil.
REVIEW : WATCH THE THRONE!
We have given this album 8 out of 10 stars. To save this post from being ridiculously boring we are going to talk about Kanye and Jay Z separately, then comment on the beats and features.
So lets start with the beats shall we. I have to say that the instrumentals for this album are amazing, however they are very similar to both Jay Z and Kanye's previous albums. They contain the typical loud choirs, samples from old songs , guitars and violins.I think the instrumentals played a vital part in saving this album from becoming a failed collaborative attempt, to stay relevant.
Now lets move onto Kanye West :
Within this album Kanye West does his regular ranting about how much he loves white people, by talking about how he is going to raise his son in the future, in songs such as : 'New Day'. He also goes onto bashing ex girlfriend Amber Rose by stating that he will never let his son go to strip club because he will not find love and then he does the typical rapper thing by bragging about his accomplishments and money. Pretty bland i must say but unfortunately his flow does outshine Jay Z's but his lyrics do not. Kanye's part in this album in a way saved this project but i really wish he'd go back to the way he used to rap, talking about things that people actually can relate to and creating music that serves a purpose, just like 'Diamonds are Forever' and 'Jesus Walks'. Forget about bloody Amber Rose, her career is irrelevant and stop putting her in the spotlight by mentioning her name, move on and remind the fans why we love you. Even though i have criticized Kanye's participation , he is still one of my favorite rappers and that is why i am slightly disappointed but my opinions of his part in this album may change. I would give Kanye 7/10 which equals Good but not excellent or outstanding in anyway.
Now for Jay Z :
Jay Z's lyrical abilities definitely shine throughout this record, some of his lyrics are too incredible to state them all. He definitely seems slightly bothered that the more success he gains the less of he sees of community that is MEANT to support him. He repetitively tries to reassure the black community that he loves them and that all of his success is for them, but he continues to partake in using the derogatory word 'Ni*&er', which raises a lot of questions. Similar to his fellow duo mate (Kanye West), Jay Z brags about his success and how quickly it took him to reach the top, he also boasts about how much money he has and mentions his wife Beyonce a lot. Even though his lyrical abilities are amazing, his flow however is not. I think it is way too slow sometimes and it can really dampen the feel and the atmosphere of a fast paced track. All in all, i would give Jay Z 7.5 out of ten, just 0.5 more than Kanye because he still appears to stay true to himself. However i think he needs to stop mentioning his wealth, i think we are very aware of how rich you are, give us something inspirational to listen to.
FEATURES :
Frank Ocean
I have been a fan of Frank Ocean since his single 'Novocaine' was released. His voice is so extraordinary , soulful, and different. I am really glad that Kanye & Jay Z decided to use him as one of the features on this album, this will give him great exposure, that he rightfully deserves. Frank Ocean is featured on songs such as : 'No Church For The Wild' and 'Made In America', which are both some of my favorite tracks on this album. He gets an EXCELLENT score of 8.5/10
Beyonce
Unfortunately, i think Beyonce's incredible vocals were slightly too strong for this record, which is a disappointment. I think it could of been toned down slightly but we still love her. She is featured on the song 'Lift Off', i would give her 7 out of ten for her participation.
The rest of the features didn't really stand out as much, Mr Hudson was great but that's expected. All in all, even with all of this criticism, as far as this being the best rap/hiphop album in years, it is. No other HipHop artists have made monumental albums like this before. You can say what you like about Kanye West and Jay Z but you have to agree that the Throne is definately theirs and i do not think that anyone has the artistic flare, flow or lyrical ability to take on these two and if you try to, you are likely to fail. Go out and buy this on ITunes if you haven't already, there is around 15 songs (i believe), it is worth the money.
IDOL OF THE DAY : MORRISSEY
Yep that's right! I know a few weeks ago we actually named him the 'IDIOT OF THE DAY' for his comments about Norway but Morrissey has redeem himself by taking a stab at David Cameron.
According to various sources, Morrissey commenting on London's current riots by slamming David Cameron's comments , the singer asked:
"Has David Cameron ever been toTottenham? I don't think so."
Morrissey's comments funnily enough were very similar to mine. David Cameron has never left the pearly gates of Westminster and has definitely never been to some of the places that were effected, so he can not really comment or connect with the people that his cuts have effected. Let's face it he doesn't really care and if he does, he has a very funny way of showing it.
IDIOTS OF THE DAY : LONDON RIOTERS , POLITICIANS AND PARENTS.
Let me start by saying that if you were effected in anyway by the London Riots my heart is with you.
Let me start with the yobs..
Let me start with the yobs..
The Idiots of the day today are the yobs that hijacked what was originally a peaceful protest of a man shot dead in Tottenham, now young boys (or shall i say FOLLOWERS with no brain) are going around destroying the whole entire city. I want to know where their parents are at this moment in time? if you know your child is retarded , don't let them out because WE the tax payer, have to pay for this damage. Steal what you like you just look poor and dirty. Break into peoples homes because you just look evil and karma is going to get you back 100 times harder. Message to all of you rioters, YOU ARE COWARDS and you aren't tough either, tough boys don't travel in mass numbers they travel by themselves and since you are going against your own people, i hope you are prepared for the backlash that comes with that, one day you will break into the wrong house and someone will seriously hurt you, so carry on, you scum.
Look at some of these morons and if you see them , throw an egg or find out where they live, lets see how they feel when their homes are on fire.
You've got these idiots, one of them visibly showing their disgusting face. |
You've got this council estate, prehistoric face looking man, robbing this helpless Asian guy. |
You've got this fat ass that needs to hit the gym. |
This idiot that is obviously suffering with alopecia. |
This oldie that looks like Iggy Pop. |
You've got these IDIOTS covering their faces, aww is mummy going to slap you when you get home? is that why you can't show your faces huh? I Could really go on for days but i wont, i want to move onto the DUMB-ASS police force. First of all these dumb-ass's didn't even contact the family of the shot victim , that is equal to being a bunch of COWARDS. Second of all they lied and claimed that there was a gun battle but then recently denied that claim. So... two shots were fired against someone who is unarmed? hmm... sounds reasonable doesn't it? The police started this disaster and they can't seem to end it because they are out numbered, if you are able to shoot an innocent man, why are you UNABLE to shoot these yobs that are ruining our lives. The law system in this country is completely shitter than shit water. Lets move onto to dumb-ass David Cameron and all the other politicians that are all talk and no purpose. We don't want to hear hour long speeches, we want to see action and David Cameron is partly to blame for this because of all of his stupid ass cuts. I said when they raised the tuition fees that something is going to happen and they won't be able to control it and now look.. LOOK at what has happened. Look how long the Labour party has been in power and i have NEVER seen this before. O YEAH and i also want to call out all of the people blaming black people, as you can see from these photographs, all people from different races are involved. I'm sure you can see that the issue is a lot bigger than race right now, unless you are mentally unstable, brain dead or just blind. |
EXCLUSIVE OF THE DAY : NEW BLINK 182 - HEARTS ALL GONE!!!
We actually like this, it's so old school.
NEWS : AVRIL LAVIGNE ATTACKED IN BRAZIL
Here is the video of all of the drama! Forward the video to 0.34 if you want to cut out all of the crap.
IDIOT OF THE DAY : MORRISSEY
This really bums me out because he is one of my favorite singer/songwriters of all time, but today, Morrissey is the IDIOT OF THE DAY. During a gig in Warsaw on Sunday (i believe), the singer apparently compared Ander Breivik (the man responsible for brutally shooting 97 people in Norway) to Mcdonalds and KFC :
'We all live in a murderous world, as the events in Norway has shown, 97 dead.Though it is nothing compared to what happens in Mcdonnald's and KFC shit everyday'
Now this topic could be argued in two ways, you could say he is correct because of the mass slaughter of animals that both food corporations take part in everyday, but then you could say he is an idiot because animals can not fear death like humans, either way his comment is still extremely insensitive and comparing a murderer to fast food companies seems a bit stupid if you ask me. If he was to compare him to Hitler then i would maybe understand ,but not really. We still love you though Morrissey, just leave the controversial comments out in the future or just shut the fuck up and sing, that's what the fans are there for.
NEWS : JARED FOLLOWILL SHUTS DOWN ALL OF THE BOGUS NEWS STORIES
Recently one of our favorite bands have been going through a lot of issues in the USA, after Caleb Followill (the lead singer) lost his voice, if you actually watch the videos from the Dallas show you can tell that his voice is not on point and being that i have been to 4 concerts of theirs, i could tell that he was sick. Well the band cancelled like 29 shows and all of their USA 'fans' are pissed off because they obviously wanted to pay 100 dollars to hear Caleb strain his voice instead of getting a refund. The media has literally had a field day with this story because this is the only bad thing they have on the band, but on twitter the other day Jared Followill (the bassist) shut down all claims that Caleb was being ordered to go to rehab by saying
So to all the people being brainwashed by the media, follow Jared and Nathan on twitter for the actual truth Dumb Dumbs, i was going to name their American fans as 'Idiots of the day' but i realized that most of them are very ignorant, so it's pointless.
